Privacy Policy

The short version

DETF is wallet-first: no email, name, or password required. Most activity — votes, deposits, treasury moves — uses public blockchains; see the on-chain section below. Off-chain, we store only product essentials: profiles, memberships, posts, and deliberately linked social accounts. The mobile app uses the same backend and wallet session, adding no data categories.

What we collect

  • Wallet addresses. Your public address identifies your account; sign-in sessions use addresses you prove you control. We never see or store private keys or seed phrases.
  • Profile data you provide. Username, avatar, bio, and settings — all optional and editable.
  • Content you post. Platform forum threads, comments, proposals, and messages.
  • Linked social accounts. When you initiate Telegram, Discord, or Twitter/X linking through our bots, we store its account identifier bound to your wallet for verification and notifications.
  • Email address. Optional, used only for opted-in notifications or the newsletter. We verify it before sending anything; every email has a signed unsubscribe link.
  • A coarse network signal at sign-in. We retain a salted, rotating hash of your connection's network address block, never the address itself, plus the browser family and language already sent with every request. Retained up to 90 days solely for abuse prevention, it shows moderators accounts sharing a network; it never triggers automatic account action.

We use no third-party analytics trackers or advertising pixels and never sell personal data.

What lives on-chain (and can't be deleted)

Signed transactions — tier joining, voting, migration deposits, ad campaign funding, airdrop claims — are public, permanent blockchain records (currently Ethereum Sepolia and Solana devnet), outside our control. Profile deletion cannot remove them; neither we nor anyone else can alter them.

Third-party services

For balances and transaction history, the app queries public blockchain providers such as Etherscan, Blockscout, and Solana RPC nodes, sending only public addresses, no other personal data. Linked platforms (Telegram, Discord, Twitter/X) process messages to our bots under their own privacy policies. Resend processes your email address solely to deliver requested messages.

How we use data

  • Operate sessions, profiles, feeds, notifications, and governance displays.
  • Verify identity claims, such as common ownership of a social account and wallet.
  • Send opted-in notifications (social bots, newsletter).
  • Prevent abuse and secure the service.

In-app notification history is automatically deleted after 180 days.

Your rights

Edit or delete profile data and unlink social accounts anytime in Settings. We honour off-chain personal data deletion requests (profile, posts, social links) sent to contact@detf.com. On-chain limits are described above.
